Well, we have to admit God Almighty would be a tough act to follow in the sexual arena.  He would have a magical penis, wouldn’t he?  That could do anything and since he created mary and his Son is Him, he is keeping it in the family.

Why is Joseph and Mary always shown as white people?  I always thought God was brown.

Yes, another Christian Republican, Sen. Tom Coburn expressed his hope that a Senator of the majority caucus would not be able to make the vote on Health Care Reform:

“What the American people ought to pray is that somebody can’t make the vote tonight. That’s what they ought to pray.”

A few minutes after Coburn’s statement about prayer, Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) interrupted while Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) was speaking and addressed his comments to Tom Coburn.

“I have been trying to reach Sen. Coburn. … This statement troubles me, and I’m trying to reach him come back to the floor and explain exactly what he meant about a senator being unable to make the vote tonight. … I’m reaching out to Sen. Coburn. I’ll be on the floor for the next 45 minutes, and I hope that he will join me there.”

It always seems these “moral” Christians are praying for something horrible to happen just so they can claim they have defeated Obama.  These people have such hate for Obama and I realize it becomes worse each year against the left.  However, I believe the real reason they are so upset is that Obama is black.

I find it interesting to watch these superstitious nuts call on the great power of their God.  He seems to fail on a regular basis when his people ask him for help or to do something immoral.

I have blogged about this a long time ago.  I always thought it strange that Christians claim God heals and yet when they get a terminal illness they pray like hell to be cured while they seek human cures.  As if they are telling God that don’t actually believe he can heal them. I have also noted that instead of praying to get to God ASAP, they pray to stay on earth longer.  Talk about hypocrites.

I would think that Sarah claiming to be such a good little Christian wouldn’t need to lie in order to kill Health Care Reform.  It should be clear that Jesus Christ wouldn’t want others to have health care and if he doesn’t support it then why would she lie about it.  Funny how christians learn to lie.

Of all the falsehoods and distortions in the political discourse this year, one stood out from the rest.

The claim set political debate afire when it was made in August, raising issues from the role of government in health care to the bounds of acceptable political discussion. It seems Christians like Ann Coulter think it is an insult to call someone gay.  The comebacks to such nonsense often expose their hate and ignorance more than they would likely intend.

At the time of the video below, Sen. Ben Nelson (D-NE) was refusing to support Senate health care reform legislation. Fox News Doocy argued that Nelson is obstructing progress because he “understands the true meaning of Christmas”.  Strange to hear that coming from those that claim Christ is the true meaning.  Apparently, the democrats are so evil that they want health care access for all Americans and want to end the insurance industries immoral acts of denying those in need.

DOOCY: Democrat senator from Nebraska Ben Nelson, the holdout on health care reform right now on the Democrat side. The sticking point? Abortion, which could push lawmakers up right until Christmas. But could it be because he understands the true meaning of Christmas? [...]

JOHNSON: So what you have is an interesting, almost Christmas pageant. On one hand, we have this political or secular rush for the Democratic Party: “We must get this done by Christmas,” and if you don’t get it done, you’re going to be there on Christmas Eve, you’re going to be there on the day after Christmas, and you’re going to get this done.

But on the other hand, I was thinking, perhaps there is a greater moral or ethical imperative from Sen. Ben Nelson, conservative Democrat from Nebraska, who has a lot of experience in the insurance industry and was a very successful governor in that state. He’s saying, implicitly, the true meaning of Christmas is that you don’t destroy babies. You don’t destroy children. And that the federal government should not be part and parcel of that in terms of funding it.

The Christian Conservatives would love to blame the democrats so they can then claim the “secular” side is waging a war on Christmas.  Why don’t the Christian Republicans just do what is best for the people and stop playing their religiously motivated hate games?

At the All Souls Unitarian church in Washington, DC, approximately 150 activists and same-sex couples congregated to witness marriage equality become law in the nation’s capital. “I say to the world: An era of struggle ends for thousands in Washington, D.C.,” said Mayor Adrian Fenty (D), who also invoked his biracial upbringing and noted that it was illegal for his parents to get married 40 years ago because they were an interracial couple.  D.C. is the sixth state or region in the country where same-sex marriage is legal.

Something I found very interesting is that the Williams Institute has estimated that this new law could boost D.C.’s economy “by over $52.2 million over three years.

Sen. Al Franken (D-MN), acting on the orders of the Senate leadership, refused to grant Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) “an additional moment” to continue speaking on the Senate floor after his 10 minutes expired. Franken’s objection caused Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) to groan about how Franken’s move was unprofessional, unprecedented, and disrespectful:

McCAIN: I’ve been around here 20-some years. First time I’ve ever seen a member denied an extra minute or two to finish his remarks. … I just haven’t seen it before myself. And I don’t like it. And I think it harms the comity of the Senate not to allow one of our members at least a minute. I’m sure that time is urgent here, but I doubt that it would be that urgent.

Apparently, McCain’s memory is suffering. Based on past history, McCain has engaged in the very same behavior that he was criticizing Franken for yesterday.

Always playing their games and claiming to be the ones that don’t do wrong and always make the right decisions (like Iraq and torture) and we always catch them lying.  The party of Christian and Family Values.

In 2002 the Senate rushed a debate on a war authorization giving President Bush the power to use force against Iraq.

During the course of the floor debate, then-Sen. Mark Dayton (D-MN) spoke in favor of an amendment offered by Sen. Robert Byrd (D-WV) that would have restricted Bush’s constitutional powers to wage war against Iraq. After a minute and a half, Dayton ran out of time, prompting this exchange:

The PRESIDING OFFICER. The Senator’s time has expired.

Mr. DAYTON. I ask for unanimous consent that I have 30 seconds more to finish my remarks.

Mr. McCAIN. I object.

Wow, just what Al Franken did and Fox News called him him “uncivil,” a “newbie,” and “an angry clown.”

Like I have stated many times, they want it their way or not way.  ”i am the decider” said Bush.

What’s the big deal with Christians praying to God for the defeat of Health Care Reform?  What does this demonstrate about the character of those Christians Republicans conducting such prayer?

If God is real and answer prayers, the implications are significant:

1. If Christians can pray to God to force their will, the American Democratic process has failed and Christians clearly have no respect for the Democratic process.  It means we are more like a communist dictatorship they pretend to hate.

2. If Christians can force their will through a power greater than any imagined military force, we no longer have our individual freedoms or free will to decide for ourselves.  The only opinion that matters is theirs.

3. If Christians can force their will to be done, then clearly they have no respect for those that died and suffered to give us our freedoms.  They spit in the face of our veterans and mock their deaths.

4. If these Christians believe they can force their way through their God’s almighty powers then obviously they are telling us they don’t care about the democratic process.  They are telling the America way of Freedom to FUCK OFF!

I believe this is rather profound and exposes the true character of these Christian Republicans.  If they can’t get what they want, they will take it by force through the use of lies and their almighty power from above.

These Christian Republicans are a threat to the very freedom of this country.  A group of people that believe God is on their side and that they can use God to take what they want by force.  Remind you of Iraq and their excuses for torture?  Remind you of the minds that brought us 9/11?

If Christian Republicans force their desires through the almighty God then the freedom of the people to make the choice and have their voice heard has been destroyed.  Christian Republicans taking away our rights through Almighty Divine FORCE.

That is a dictatorship!!!

Remember George Bush: “I am the decider”, “You are with us or you are against us”, “I am on a mission from God” and “God agrees (concerning war in Iraq)” Christian Republicans support this kind of thought, and when they can claim it is God’s will and they are the DECIDER then we have lost our freedom.

Is that what America is about?  One group forcing their vote onto others?  Notice, these people are all WHITE, mostly men and of course Christian Republican.  Why is it that we continue to have old white men throughout our history telling the minorities what to do?

I believe that instead of the White Christian Republicans having a right to force their vote onto all, we need to have a government with true representation of the people and not just white christian republicans.

Fox News is going nuts over Senator Charles Schumer’s (D-NY) using the word “bitch” on a flight after an argument with a flight attendant over using his cell phone. Remarkably strange is how they dealt with similar issue  when  Dick Cheneyand John McCain were busted for saying  FUCK in Congress.

Apparently saying bitch is far worse than saying FUCK and clearly sanctified by God for Christians as good moral fun, as long as you are republican.  Gotta love the fair and balanced news..haha
